As we enter this holiday season, I can’t help but reflect on all we here at KCADP have to be thankful for…
We are thankful for our new and long-time supporters, as well as, our generous donors who have made our work possible. We are thankful for the wonderful speakers who have visited us and shared their stories with use – exonerees, Kirk Bloodsworth and Eddie Lowery; Sr. Helen Prejean and Vicki and Syl Schieber. We are thankful for our legislative champions and all our elected officials – more and more of whom are calling for repeal.
Finally, we here at KCADP, are thankful for you, our members, our Abolition Endorsing Groups, our faith leaders and our murder victim family members. Because all of you have been calling for repeal and promoting reconciliation and forgiveness for many years, future repeal success is possible!
May this holiday season be one that warms the heart, encourages the spirit and leads us on to joy and celebration! Here is to a 2014 that will go down in history as the year we Kansans put the death penalty behind us.
Thank you from your entire KCADP Team!
