All Roads Lead to Manhattan on November 2nd

August 27, 2019

Kansas Governor John Carlin

“Make a Difference: Join the Journey to End the Death Penalty” is the title of the 2019 KCADP Annual Meeting and Abolition Conference. It will be held on Saturday November 2nd from 1 to 4 p.m. at the KSU Union, Bluemont Room.

Keynote speaker is former Governor John Carlin. During his tenure as Governor, he faced the question of death penalty reinstatement legislation four times. Each time, he vetoed the bill and kept Kansas death penalty free. He will reflect on capital punishment and what it will take to end it in the Sunflower State.

Participants in the conference will have the opportunity also to attend death penalty focused workshops to increase their understanding of its extra cost, legislative advocacy, and also how to effectively share their desire for abolition with others.

There is no charge to attend this event.

It is open to KCADP members as well as the general public.

Sign up today to attend this exciting conference by using our Eventbrite link. On the day of the event, registration opens at 12:30.
