Join the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty in Wichita on Saturday, November 5th for a rally, featured speakers and training workshops so that you can be prepared to help make the Kansas death penalty history in 2012.
Our featured speakers are Jeremy Schroeder, who led the successful effort this year to repeal the Illinois death penalty, and Diann Rust-Tierney, the Executive Director of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.
The program will also include short workshops on some of the biggest issues concerning the death penalty, such as public safety, the risk of executing an innocent person and more. This is a great opportunity to talk with other advocates from across the state and get up to speed on the death penalty before the 2012 Kansas Legislative Session starts in January!
